Goats
The Dutch goat milk farming is a recent commercial branch, consisting of specialised and certified goat milk farmers who aim principally at the dairy industry. The Pali Group has put a lot of energy in this sector in developing a consistent and stable marketing structure for billy kids and surplus kids. In the meantime this has made the Pali Group an important chain supervisor in the production of kid meat.
The Pali Group has set up a country wide structure for collecting kids. Based on central registration of all the kids available the animals are collected on set days and transported directly to the specialised and RVV registered fattening farms in the region.
Transport of animals for slaughter also takes place on set days as much as possible. Goat milk farmers can even send goats for scrapie screening. These animals are assembled at the slaughterhouse and sent for examination to the authorised agency.
We have an extensive buying and selling network as far as trading in kids and goats is concerned. The Pali Group works closely together along the whole chain with the goat milk farmer, the fattening farm, the transporter, feed supplier and the slaughterhouse to guarantee the quality of the end product.
